Lauren van XOXO Lauren bracht een nieuw patroon uit!

Zoals jullie misschien wel weten test ik patronen uit. Enige tijd geleden ben ik ook lid geworden van het tester-team van Lauren. En nu bracht ze een nieuw patroon uit, dit keer voor een multifunctioneel schortje. Ik maakte al eerder een tuin-schortje, die maakte ik van een eigen patroon en kon je hier zien.

Dit schortje zit heel slim in elkaar en is van alle gemakken voorzien. Aan de voorzijde zitten drie grote steekvakken, bijvoorbeeld voor je notitieblok en pennen.

Boven de steekvakken vind je een ritsvak en in dit ritsvak vind je 5(!) steekvakjes voor al je briefgeld. Zo'n slim ontwerp en dus super handig als je wel eens op een markt staat om je spulletjes te verkopen.

Aan de zijkant vind je nog een lus voor je schaar. Optioneel kun je ook nog een clip plaatsen, maar die heb ik achterwege gelaten.

Ik maakte mijn tester-versie van denim en canvas voor de buitenstof en een katoen voor de binnenzijde. Door de denimstof is het een stevig schortje maar niet heel stijf en draagt het gemakkelijk. Maar er zijn al een heleboel mooie varianten voorbij gekomen; volledig van katoen, faux leder, canvas of een combinatie ervan, mogelijkheden genoeg dus!

De tailleband is verstelbaar zodat je hem op je eigen maat kan instellen en daarnaast is het patroon beschikbaar in 2 maten (die je allebei krijgt als je het patroon koopt). Het patroon voor het schortje is vandaag uitgebracht en is te koop voor maar $4.95 en is HIER te koop.

Lauren from XOXO Lauren is back at it again!!

As you might know I'm a pattern tester. So a while ago I was accepted to be a tester for Lauren from XOXO Lauren. And she just came out with a new pattern, this time a multifunctional apron. I have made a garden apron before based of my own design and you can see how that one looks here (note: it is in Dutch, but you can still look at the pictures of course :) ).


This apron is cleverly made and is so useful with all those pockets. On the front it has three large pockets, for example for your notepad and some pens.

Just above these pockets is a zippered pocket and in there you'll find 5(!) cargo pockets to hold your cash. Such a clever design and so useful when you sell at a market.

On the side you'll also find a loop to hold your scissors. You could also add a swivel clip, but I chose not to.

I've made this tester version in a denim and a canvas fabric as my outer fabrics and a quilting cotton for the inside. Due to the denim it is a sturdy apron, but not too stiff so it's easily to wear. But, I've seen a lot of other beautiful creations already; only from cotton, vinyl or canvas or any other combination. Enough possibilities!

The waistband is adjustable so you can make it to fit yourself and when buying this pattern you get two sizes of the apron as well. The pattern has just came out and you can buy it here for just $4.95.
