Doorzichtige reis-etui * - * Clear vinyl travel bag

Je kent het wel, je gaat op reis, neemt alleen handbagage mee en moet dan alle vloeistoffen in van die plastic zakjes steken. Dat kon beter dacht ik, want bij mij scheuren die zakjes nog wel eens.

Ik had nog doorzichtige vinyl liggen die ik normaal voor portemonnees gebruik en dacht dat dit een goede vervanger was voor die tijdelijke zakjes. Er werd even gespeurd op Pinterest om een goed patroon te vinden en toen kon ik op zoek naar stofjes voor erbij.

Het patroon sprak voor zich, echter paste ik de bodem wel aan door deze vlak te maken. Tijdens het werken aan dit patroon was mijn teflon naaivoetje mijn beste vriend! Met het gewone voetje plakte het vinyl te veel om goed door de machine geleid te worden. Mocht je het zelf willen maken, gebruik dan zeker een teflon voetje of plak wat scotch-tape op de onderkant van je gewone voetje.

Ik maakte 3 zakjes waarvoor één voor mijn man. Hij wilde natuurlijk niet achterblijven en gebruikt met veel plezier nu zijn zakje.

Tijd om op vakantie te gaan, denk ik?!?

You know how it goes, you're going to travel, want to take only hand luggage and you have to put all your liquids into a plastic Ziplock bag. There's got to be a better solution I thought, because those bags ripped on me during a trip. 

I had some clear vinyl laying around, which I normally use for wallet and thought I could use this as a replacement for those Ziplock bags from the grocery store. After some Pinterest searching I found a nice pattern and then I was on the hunt for fabric scraps. 

The pattern was very clear, but I did adjust the bottom of the bag to a box corner. During the making of this cute bag my Teflon sewing foot was my best friend! The standard foot would stick to the vinyl and you wouldn't be able to sew. If you want to make your own, use the Teflon foot or stick some scotch-tape on the bottom of your standard foot. 

I made three zip-pouches, one of them for my husband. He surely didn’t want the Ziplock bags when I had these cute ones.
