Daar is hij dan! Het nieuwste patroon van Sew Some Stuff: The Monscorn Backpack! Koop de bundel hier of het enkele patroon hier!

Enige tijd geleden werd ik gekozen door Anne van Serial Bagmakers om te helpen met het testen van een nieuw patroon, welke zij in samenwerking met Javeria van Sew Some Stuff heeft ontwikkeld. Het ging om een rugtas-patroon met applicatie.

Zoals sommigen van jullie wel weten heb ik twee lieve nichtjes waarvan er één ondertussen naar school gaat. Een schooltas is dan natuurlijk altijd welkom! Daarom werd er roze canvas aangeschaft en heb ik gekozen voor de Unicorn applicatie (de andere optie is een monster-applicatie).

De rugtas heeft een groot vak, waar ook een laptop-vak in zit. Het laptop-vak heeft een zachte, maar stevige voering waardoor je laptop beschermd is. Aan de zijkant van de tas zit een vak voor een drinkfles. Optioneel kan er een lunch-vak onderaan de tas gemaakt worden. Deze kun je wel zien bij enkele andere testers (Tracy van TLB Crafts, Geny van Genycartes en Kathy van Sand Dune).

Nichtje was er superblij mee, de klasgenootjes een tikkeltje jaloers en ik heb mijn eerste patroon-test overleefd, al met al een geslaagd project en zeer leuk om eens op een andere manier met een patroon bezig te zijn!

Some time ago I was chosen to help Anne from Serial Bagmakers to help with the testing of a new bag pattern. It was a bag pattern designed by Javeria of Sew Some Stuff. It is a backpack with a unicorn or monster applique.

As some of you might know, I have two little cousins, one of which is going to primary school since last January. A school bag is always a good idea then! So I bought some pink canvas fabric and choose the version with the Unicorn applique.

The backpack has one big main pocket, in which there's also a laptop sleeve. This laptop sleeve has a padded side so the laptop is protected. On the side of the bag there's a slip pocket for a bottle. Optionally you can also add a lunchbox holder at the bottom of the bag. I didn't, but you can see examples of it with some of the other testers (Tracy from TLB Crafts,  Geny van Genycartes and Kathy van Sand Dune)

My cousin was super excited, her classmates a little bit jealous and I've survived my first pattern-testing-experience! It was a successful project and really nice to be working on a pattern in such a different way.
